CWM error on restore

Postby KLRichards » May 29th, 2012, 6:12 pm

When using CWM to restore, whqt does it mean to have a MD5 mismatch error.

I had to reintsall from the ZIP file, so no biggey, but dors it mean my backups are useless?

Regards

Well the checksums are not matching. So what you are trying to restore does not match the master record of what it should be so to speak.

Did you rename the files and/or folders of your backup?

EDIT: P.S If there is a file called .android_secure (where the backup your having trouble with is), try renaming that, then try again. Just make sure you do have another way to restore your tablet before doing this.

Thought it maybe something like that, but I havent renamed or chnaged the backup folder structure at all on the sd card. I have copied several backups to my NAS drive, but not on the SD card where I tried to restore from.

mmmm strange.

Have you changed the version of clockworkmod whilst flashing roms? as i have found that the MD5 errors can occur after upgrading to a later CWM
