@KLRichards, sounds like it didn't load correctly, maybe you forgot to 'wipe data/factory reset' before you installed CM9...

On my installation... Play store works fine, all the apps I've tried work fine, WiFi indicator is blue, haven't tried BBC iPlayer... :)

I've had trouble with installing if I haven't done a factory reset... maybe it was just between Suggys rom and CM9... but I reset every time I change rom now.

...but wait. If I do a factory reset, wont it wipe my SD card which will loose my backup and the CM9 zip file which I need to reload.... andnno guarantee that it will be different to my first expereince which was not good.

Reset seems to keep all my backups, it may depend on where they are though.

All data on your external SD card should be safe.

Ok, reset didnt wipe my backups from the external SD card, and thank god they didnt.

The CM9 build has nothing in it.... The PlayStore is not present, which is why my first build could not start PlayStore. Without PlayStore and after doing factory reset, there was no way of getting my apps back. Also, the wifi inidicator did not light Blue, stayed grey. But it did connect, after I connected to my router.

Could not test the apps that was not working as they where wiped and no PlayStore to get them back.

The CM9 build was nothing but a mobile build.

Not impressed, so back on suggsy's beta 0.8, which works a treat....

If yours works, i havent a clue what must be different for mine to be useless, if it had PlayStore, I may have been able to restore my apps from the store and tested some more.

@ KLRichards,

when you have installed CM9, first set up your WiFi, then go to the Update Me app, click on 'App', there you can download Allwinner File Explorer, Allwinner Gallery and Gapps (Google Apps, including Google Play).

Remember you need to flash Gapps after each new rom.
