clicked on install device automatically and it cannot find the necessary drivers, trying again but will select the location to search

thats fine then go to device manager ad do as i said above

"browse my computer" then select "let me pick"

The hardware wizard did not install automatically, tried pointing it to the windowsxp driver folder in the dell instasllation folder and it still not having any of it (didnt work).

Now rebooting the desktop pc as it crashed and will try specifing a file to use - this is what i had to do with my laptop to get the thing working.

then when you pick let me pick there should be the option to select android phone > adb interface

Im in device manager, select hardware type, is this where the android phone > adb interface should be or have i missed a step somewhere?

right click on the eclair item > update drivers > browse my computer > let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer > then you can select android phone > Android ADB Interface
