so i'm basically screwed with my cracked glass seeing as storage options said they did not offer a repair service. Now what to do with this crack through my screen. Obviously he digitizer is fine because the touch screen works perfectly. Although seems like its close to impossible to remove the glass without damaging the housing...

any help? i'm desperate! could i claim on my house insurance?

have no doubt you could, you need to look at your policy though
most small electronic goods come with a £50 excess on 99.99% of insurance policies, but still better than losing the cost of the whole tablet

Sometimes, Storage Options will help out with duff units as spare parts on a DIY basis.
Have you tried asking them if they will consider sending you a returned non-working unit so you can use the case?
It is a long shot and you may have to wait a good while, but I think I am right in saying they have considered this with other models.
If it isn't broken then don't try to fix it!

that would be great if they would but doesnt seem likely as this is the response i got from an email I sent them...

"Good Morning

Sorry to hear you have a damaged screen, I'm afraid we are unable to offer a
repair service and do you keep saleable spare screens.

You may be able to claim on your house insurance for a replacement unit.

If there is anything else I can help you with, please do not hesitate to
contact me."

I Don't suppose you still have your broken Extreme? I am in the same position and looking for parts. I reversed my car over my Scroll Elite and remarkably only the digitizer was broken. It works fine with an external usb keyboard and mouse.

Storage Options support say they do not offer any spare parts or repair service or have any authorised repair centers anywhere!

Hey. I do actually have it. Still cracked. Did you find a replacement for your screen?

Interested in sell it for parts?

I think it is just the digitizer that is broken on mine, the outer part of the screen seemed to survive. The cracks are all on the inside.
