In the end I decided to try from a Linux box, since adb "just worked" with the Scroll in the Linux Android
SDK, and this went through without problems.
Briefly, what you need:
Linux Android SDK (running on Ubuntu 10.10 in my case)
A Linux copy of fastboot
recovery-clockwork-scroll.img from the first post
To do the deed:
- plug the Scroll in with USB debugging enabled
- "adb reboot bootloader" will take you to the Scroll splash screen
- "fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-scroll.img" will install the clockworkmod recovery
- "fastboot reboot" reboots back to Android
Basically, I'm just running the Linux versions of the commands in the two Windows batch files by hand to install clockworkmod.

If any one else is still having trouble with Windows 7 let me know and I will type up how I did it.
Hi Steveee
I am still having problems with the drivers for Win7 64Bit
Can you give me a pointer!
Cheers
