I've managed to get cm10 working on my extreme OK. After backing up first I did a factory reset. Then installed cm10 preview, then gapps, then finally the 1.2 compatibility zip. Took a while to reboot but all is well so far.

The main ui is very smooth and fast now. The main problem for me is BBC iPlayer, tvcatchup and ITV player are now unusable. Being they are my most used apps I'll head back to cm9 for now. Maybe an issue caused by the non hw accelerated video.

If Christian can get this up to the level of cm9 it'll be brilliant.
Regards,
Chris.

Dont think it is anything to do wih system size its just a compatibility issue. Same problem with firtst releases of CM9.

Just have to wait till someone with more tech knowledge to explain the problem.

Hi fregrin et al,

I've just taken the plunge and it seems to have worked albeit still with limitations that CT has listed. I copied the method from the cm10 thread as follows:

full wipe, install cm10_a10_preview2.zip and 907c compatability 1.2.0.zip
after reboot, it works.

after that i boot to cwm and install gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip
after reboot, it works.

I must fess up that i never wiped the tablet in full, just the usual two caches in cwm. The touch screen is fine, hardware and software buttons are fine, screen rotation is fine too.

The only issues i have is that although my pc see's the tablet it won't open the drives and i can't find the usual usb option to allow me to navigate them. Iplayer works but stutters somewhat on the video, youtube plays fine in SD and update me isn't supported yet.

The settings that i adjusted after scanning CT's threads is to set the cpu govenor to 'Fantasy' and alter the Developer options - Drawing - window animation scale, transition animation scale and animator duration scale to 5x.

First impressions are really good for the overall build and usuability of the rom, the fading effects are pretty neat and speed is impressive too. I hope you all find this useful in getting cm10 to work :)

Doh.... well I've tried again and it still has no touch screen functionality which then renders it useless....

I'll try again sometime tomorrow, if I get the chance....

Couldn't wait till tomorow, so wiped the caches and tried again, and got it working as well.

Too early yet to comment, but does seem to be more responsive, but that coud be me just being slugish at this time of night.

Agree with the keyboard, but it it does seem to react to typing better...ie less missed keys. I found the last keyoards couldn't keep up.

All in all, looks promising :D
