As for the difference in models (53715 and 54585) I thought it wasn't just down to the Os but also:

• Storage: 53715(4gb) / 54585 (8gb)
• Processor:53715 1 GHz Cortex A8 (single core) / 54585 1.2GHz Cortex A8, Mali-400 Dual Core Graphics Processor

Can't quite remember where I saw that though, Oh and what about the whole playing 1080p and 3d content?

Yep good catch you got me on the memory it is larger on the later Scroll, however I am fairly confident the rest of the spec is the same. They both use the Allwinner A10 (A8 Cortex) CPU which usually runs around the 1Ghz mark unless you clock it and they both use the multicore Mali 400 Mhz GPU.

Just checked the box my scroll came in and it says 1.2Ghz. But then again knowing Storage Options I'm surprised they didn't claim it had an Intel® Core™ i7 Processor!!!

You are correct to be suspicious as the A10 will run at 1.2 Ghz but it is the same CPU in both.
Some retailers are advertising the A10 as 1.5 Ghz because they are adding the CPU and GPU speeds together.

I managed to install it using the following steps

CWM-based Recovery/install zip from sdcard/ choose zip from sdcard/stock_ICS_4.03.

Hope that was correct and I didn't need to do the

apply /sdcard/update.zip

Anyways, it installed fine and now works like a charm . I even have location services working, which I didn't have before.
The only problem I have, if I can be honest with you is that I have noticed the following problems:

• For some reason it is quite slow in its response (I really have to press the screen to get a response)
• It has actually frozen up on me when I was surfing the web/facebook and tried scrolling down the page, when I tried going into the system systems and applications menu and when I tried opening up the file manager application.

Nevertheless, I can gladly live with this . I'll try a factory reset maybe? and see what happens.
But like I said before THANK YOU!!!! very much sir, now if you could just point me to where I need to donate you a pint for your hard work.
*Edit* So it seems like a simple restart was all it needed

That's the first thng I idid. Am definitely loving the new found power. However, could you help me out with instructions on how to update the youtube app ? When I try from the market it says ''package not signed correctly.unistall and reinstall new package...''. Do I just delete the apk file from android commander or are there more files?
