/system 251M 248M 3M 4096

If the system partition is showing 4K or 12K etc you have this problem.

This issue manifests is strange ways.
Before the change I could not get speech recognition working and some apps would not install.

Hi Shaun,

On running df on terminal emulator i recieved the same report as that printed above, doesthis mean its ok?

I was thinking of taking the plunge and re installing with your lite rom?

i feel safer with cwm be honest.

Then you will have to use this "lite" version :D as im sure there is no other way to modify the partition size

Having spent most of yesterday getting livesuit working, I certainly am interested in a livesuit image to increase the size of my system partition, can`t wait! Will save me messing around deleting/uninstalling stuff to make CM10 install and run smoothly.

Regards.

@stabaldock
If your system partition total is below 300 then you will have to use this lite ROM or use livesuit to enlarge it. My Scroll Extreme has a 251MB this means that I need the lite ROM for CM10. From what you have posted you are in the same boat as me.

@suggsy89
This is simply a repackage of Christians ROM. Used ROM kitchen to unpack, removed files and cooked with the kitchen. I have managed to build the kernel in the past but did not use it for this ROM.

I too love messing around with this kind of thing. If you get a livesuit image working please spread the news.

Cheers,
Shaun

Tried the download and it worked much better :) No messing about with captchas and waiting 30 minutes for next download!

I know a way to / how to increase the system partition size (ive done it before) but that involves taking apart a livesuit image that is already setup with a system partition size of.. lets say 300mb, injecting a dump of the system partition, then repackaging the image.
This will give you a new (.img) file that can be flashed via livesuit. (A new base perhaps?)
Result being the same thing if you use CWM Recovery to flash, but with the added bonus of a larger system partition.

It can be done, its pretty easy once you have the tools... but will the guys here want to go down the livesuit route?

Would love to have instructions on increasing the size of the system partition. I have been using livesuit for a while now so that is not a problem. I have a Gemei G9 and have CM10 working with minimal gapps but it would be nice to just go ahead and increase it so it wont be a problem in the future with any updates.

As mentioned before it is rathed easy to increase your /system partition with ImgRePacker

Open ImgRepacker (on PC)
Drag your image inside ImgRePacker (there must be no spaces in names)
Leave blank, yes, yes
Just edit sys_config.fex with Wordpad (change size_lo under nandd to 350*1024=358400 or whatever you want)
Open ImgRePacker again
Drag your image.dump inside ImgRePacker
Leave blank, yes, yes

Flash this modified image with LiveSuit

Then the problems of incomplete gapps are gone

As im at work and my pc and tablet is at home i can't try this but it sounds a little easier than the livesuit route???? Has anyone used this software before?
