Scroll Extreme using the Calendar

Postby sirjoseph » September 12th, 2012, 6:25 pm

Scroll Extreme has a Calendar which does not appear to be capable of synchronising with a Samsung Galaxy-Y phone. Samsung Kies shows no interest

Thanks Yes I have but there is no Calendar. As far as I can see we are not offered any syncing with or from Calendar.

Hi Ken

Samsung are renound for causing confusion with Calendars!

It may be that your Phone is not Syncing with Google Calendar but is storing your "Events" on the "Local" device Calendar.
When you add an event on the Phone do you have a drop down to choose Samsung Calendar or Google Calendar?

My Scroll extreme is sync'd perfectly with Google Calendar. I even have it set up to show my Wife's Gmail Calendar events as well.

Hi Ken

That is fantastic... :D
I'm really pleased to have been of some help. It's great when everything comes together.
My Dad is the same age, he can't work the TV remote!

A likely story! He 's obviously a wily and wise old boy. A question. My calendar syncs OK but I can't retrospectively update it. If you go to Agenda what does 'Touch here to view events before...' mean? Touching everywhere has only the effect of moving that date backwards. I have opened my kencropper40@gmail.com account in Outlook on my PC (which seems to call itself My Calendar)

Hi Ken

The Calendar can only Sync backwards 30 days. This is to reduce the amount of time it takes to synchronise information.
However any Events that are saved as "Yearly event" such as a Birthday or Anniversary will still be displayed in any past Month.
"Touch here to view events before" That is simply a way to review past Events for reference. Such as, What time was that Doctors appointment 3 Months ago.

The Main Calendar cannot go back further than 30 days, but by clicking on "Touch here to view events before" in the "Agenda" View, you can see past events.
