I understand that - but with a title of simply "Scroll Extreme" the thread might have been about anything.
At least now other members can see straight away where to look to have a read if they are also experiencing Calendar problems on their Extreme.
If it isn't broken then don't try to fix it!

Hi Ken

If you go to gmail on your PC and log in, there is an option for contacts.
If you make sure your contacts are in the list there, then every time you log into your Google account on an Android device your contacts will be Sync'd automatically.
That way you never lose a contact... ;)

Hi Tim,
Wish I could report success but no. How do I login to gmail on my PC (my gmail is within Windows LiveMail)? I've tried creating a csv file and importing - surely not necessary. Whatever I try Contacts avoids the tablet

Hi Ken

If you go to http://www.google.co.uk
In the Top right corner of the Web Page you will see a "Sign In" Button.
Enter your Gmail address and password.

Along the top of the Google Web Page is a wide horizontal Black Line. Half way along you will see "Gmail", click on that to open your gmail page.

Now you are in your Gmail page -
Top left of the page you will see a multi-coloured Google logo.
Under that it says - "Gmail" with a drop down triangle next to it.
Click on the drop down triangle and choose "Contacts".

Now you are in the Contacts Page -
Along the top you will see a button that says " More ". Click on "More".
Now click on "Import"
You can select your CSV file to import. (make sure you have the CSV file on your PC)

Hope that helps

Hi Tim,
That was excellent but in spite of using check boxes First Name, Last Name, E-mail what arrives at Gmail is name and phone no! The men in the white coats are coming to fetch me...

Hi Ken

I'm guessing you used a CSV file to import the Contacts into Google?

Sometimes the "Fields" (input boxes) from one device don't match those available in another device.
This will lead to the missing information that you have encountered.

I would suggest that you edit the Gmail Contacts on your Computer. This will become the "Master" Template for synchronising contacts between devices. However sometimes a small amount of editing may still be needed on some devices because of the miss-match in "Fields". ;)

Tim - I thought that was what you meant by 'You can select your CSV file to import. (make sure you have the CSV file on your PC)' ?

Hi Tim,
I've done it! And feeling VERY pleased with myself. It was a question of Fields as you said. Again many thanks.

Hi Ken

That's great...! :D

You should be really pleased with yourself...!!! That's quite a complicated routine. ;)

Have a look at tvcatchup on Google PLAY. You can watch freeview TV on your Scroll Tablet.

Hello Tim,
Not Houston, but I have a problem. I bought a 32Gb micro card but when inserted there is a message along the bottom 'Damaged SD Card'. I have looked at it on my PC where it seems to be OK. In Scroll it sometimes shows up. Any ideas?
Hope you are well. I'm slowly getting my sense of taste back.
Ken ;)
