Loosing Wi-Fi Connection

Postby barry9349 » October 18th, 2012, 10:07 am

I have to log into my Wi-Fi account every time I use my Scroll Extream 10inch tablet.
Should the tablet not store this information to avoid this.

Yes you are right in expecting the tablet to remember your Wifi details.
Have you tried going through the slightly longer process of "add network" rather than just choosing from a list of available hotspots. I don't know if this will solve your issue but there is nothing to lose in trying.
If it isn't broken then don't try to fix it!

You mention your "Wi-Fi Network", is this a home hotspot or a public network ? The reason I ask is that if you are using a Public network and you are connecting to different Access Pints they will have different MAC addresses. I know that Android seems to store the Network/AP/MAC combination separately - on mine I could see two instances of the same network at times (different APs on the same network) and could actually chose which one I want to connect to.

It may be that you need to connect to a particular AP not just network before Android will automatically log you in.

It's a home BT Broadboard network.
