So far just got ES File Explorer and MX Player and they're both working.

It also had Google Mail pre-installed which appears to be working without any action on my part. Scared me to death when the message alert went off at full volume out of nowhere!

I know, my wife jumps whenever I get an alert on my tablet too - then she glares at me

Gapps are slightly different to ordinary apps that you can download from Play as they form part of the system.
i.e. on Christian Troys full Gapps package for CM10 it includes Bluetooth and face recognition services as well, which is partly why he recommends a 300Mb min system partition to accommodate all the Google goodies.

I am glad your tablet is behaving itself at the moment but if you try to use a specific Google service or download an app that depends on a particular Google service that isn't available in the version of Gapps you (apparently) installed then you may find odd things happen.

If this does happen (hope it doesn't) it may be because you (apparently) have installed a heavily pruned version of Gapps.

This is nothing to worry about as it will only affect specific Google-based things when you come to use them and if you don't ever need or use them you will never know they are missing at all.

Hope that makes some sort of sense.

I've not installed GAPPS either, not really noticed any issues but I assumed that this version of Christian's CM10 already installed the GAPPS as it also increased the size of the system partition to 393Mb.

Is there any way to check ?

If you have used Suggsy89's ROM with the 400 Mb system partition Suggsy89 states in his post that "Gapps are built in" so you don't need to do anything else - you are fully updated.
The only reason I mentioned about Gapps at all was because of this post by cantisque: I have marked the relevant part in red.

Again, I just got what is on the original post. It shows as CM9 (specifically 10-20120811-UNOFFICIAL-907) and Android shows as 4.1.1.

I don't know what gapps is, so I'm assuming I don't want it.

I fixed the apps complaining about the external card by following your post on another thread for the Excel: viewtopic.php?f=48&t=3110&p=24938&hilit=external#p24938

Although it still shows the storage as internal, the apps no longer complain about it and load correctly. Thanks!

The link cantisque refers to takes you to an incomplete version of Gapps - unless I am misreading cantisques post? I assumed from what is said that the cut down version of Gapps had been used by cantisque on his Extreme as this is what the link points to and I can't think what else could be used from the topic about the Excel viewtopic.php?f=48&t=3110&p=24938&hilit=external#p24938 that cantisque says was used?

This all sounds like a bit of a bum steer so don't lose any sleep over it as it sounds as if both of you have used Suggsy89's ROM - I still don't quite understand though what exactly it was that cantisque did with the Excel stuff?[/color]

Hi All,

I have tried multiple ROM and have found this one as the only one working on my son's Scroll Extreme, however the Internal Storage is unavailable, i have searched thru this forum and edited the vold.fstab and changed the nandi to nanda etc but still no joy. As soon as I flash back to stock rom internal memory is back. Can anyone please let me know what i'm doing wrong. :?

Hi... I had the same issue & followed the same path as you have with the same results, I still couldn't see the internal storage..

My issue turned out to be the 'nandi' block missing & was resolved by restoring my original operating system via CWM & then flashing this version of CM10 via livesuite over the top.

I've read of other people having the same proplem in this thread see http://scrolltabletforum.co.uk/site/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=3049&start=50#p24455

To check if you have the same problem, use a rooted file explorer ( I use ES File Explorer ) or any other means to navigate to /dev/block/.
In this folder should be all the nand blocks, see if nandi is there.
