You are assuming that because the spoofed ID in the build prop says Nexus that this is a nexus ROM - this is an incorrect assumption and has nothing to do with the SD card problem which I am also now experiencing after having a successful SD card access immediately after editing "vold.fstab" but which failed after a reboot and I have not been able to access since.

If you follow some threads on here you will have realised why tablets are spoofed to gain access to many more apps on Google play.
Don't forget none of the Scrolls are licensed by Google and spoofing ID's helps to overcome this limitation when browsing the playstore.

I am uncertain why you feel that this is "scraping the barrel" as you put it - as clearly you want something for nothing or you wouldn't have tried the ROM in the first place, perhaps you might consider adding a supportive comment instead of being critical of the developer who contributes completely voluntarily - unless of course you have access yourself to a fully working JellyBean ROM for the Excel that you would like to contribute?

No direct offense intended or taken but your comment seemed a little ambiguous suggesting that the custom ROM was a Nexus 7 Clone which doesn't have an SD but which I knew it isn't. Chill pill taken but I remain very protective of our devs who are not only great but also thin on the ground. By the way check your PM's inbox for my response to your enquiry.

Compatibility file to fix the sdcard, made a build.prop change and tested.
Verified with Android Commander and through Apps2SD

Enjoy

Hi
Look at forum most days, compared with a year ago, it’s a lot quieter.
So would just like to say and give support, and following this with interest.
I am sure that others are as well, but like me just have not posted.
So thanks, for all your efforts
