password code selcetion

Postby spanishguy » December 9th, 2012, 1:40 pm

Hi Guys,
I am always forgetting my passwords, not usually a problem except with my Essential tablet as it gives me a couple of go's and then asks to sort out the difference between two charts eg wood/metal. My problem is how do I get to select the individual items on the list? Everytime I try it just slides the whole list over instead of my selection. I know I can go on my pc and use the mouse but how can I do it on the tablet?
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Short answer is you can't on your Essential tablet.... you need to log in on a PC with a mouse.... or you could try to connect a keyboard/mouse to your tablet using the OTG lead ...but I'm not sure that would work.
If it isn't broken then don't try to fix it!

On a Scroll Engage, I have successfully connected a standard USB keyboard and USB mouse via an OTG lead. I have connected both at the same time with a standard USB hub between the mouse and keyboard and the OTG lead.

I have also connected a wireless mouse and keyboard set with the receiver attached to the OTG lead.

The devices also show up on the Settings display. The ability appears to be designed into Android.
