i am thinking of getting one of these for the kids http://www.ebuyer.com/407319-sumvision- ... pc-cycvoy7 so will either be selling the scroll or keeping it for tseting and messing.
either way i would want the OS to be as stable as possible so was hoping we had an update as the 4.1.1 i currently have on it has its issues such as being very slow and the boot time to being usable is also very long.
ps what do you think of the tablet i have linked to?
thanks guys
marcknuckle wrote:i went ahead and bought the sumvision and dont regret it at all, excellent for the money. excellent for a fair bit more also. i had to update it to the latest firmware which was easy enough as it had a bug that kept the volume control slider onscreen when pressed requiring a reset but the fix sorted it.
anyway, back to the excel. i sold it to my mom which is good as i still get to mess with it if there is a benefit such as the stable JB update we are hoping for on here. for now though, one problem.
i factory reset it to give it to her. unfortunately the onscreen and physical home button dont do anything. i have installed apex launcher so i though i just needed to re-do the action that pressing the home button would achieve but still no better. i have read a few similar posts re cm9 based roms that it is the version of gapps causing it. so i downloaded the gapps in the sig but it wouldnt install, something about a bad file.
where would i get the correct version of gapps for this, 4.1.1 jro03l, rom?
