Broken Power Button HELP PLEASE !

Postby br1stolgirl » October 2nd, 2013, 3:41 pm

Hi my daughter has the Scroll Essential II, which is about 8 months old. The power button fell out one day and I was told this wasn't covered in the warranty as its classed as being tampered with. I wanted to try and update her firmware but everything says to press the power button continuously on all the processes. Does anyone know of a way to try and update the firmware without the power button. Its just the machine keeps having problems with her games and wont fully download, also the screen keeps flipping continuously which was the same reason I sent back a previous machine so if anyone can help with any problem resolving I will be extremely happy
Thanks

I believe it may be possible to remap keys but if you can't use the power button to begin with then looks like you are stuck.
If it isn't broken then don't try to fix it!

So now after the power button falls out of a machine, it is not covered by warranty :o

So if the owner has the temerity to press the power button a few times they can shirk all responsibility.

Words fail me !
