How to Install Clockworkmod on the Scroll Tablet - NOT Excel

Hi Guys

Sorry, me again, I sucessfully got the Android drivers installed and my scroll is recognised now as an Android PDB device as it should be. When I run the first batch file in the recovery folder the scroll reboots to the scroll screen and freezes as it should, I then run the second batch file while it is frozen which reboots the scroll as it should.

However, when I shut down and restart the scroll with the volume up botton held down the system goes into Android recovery mode not clockwork recovery mode? what am I doing wrong please?

By the way, I am running Firmware V0.94 kernel 2.6.29

when i ran the batch files i had the power adapter plugged in and on.

only the .img file gets flashed to the recovery partition.

check to see if you have this file on the scroll "install-recovery.sh" in

system/etc/

Nope, no file called install-recovery.sh, I think I may have accidentaly dfeleted it when I was messing about with Super Manager. Can I download it from somewhere so I can put it back on?

its fine you don't want it - Otherwise it will flash the original recovery file back when you reboot!

Great tutorial.

I had some issues with the usb driver installation under Windows 7 64bit because it wasn't finding a compatible driver for my device. I managed to get it going by editing the android_winusb.inf file that comes in the driver package. Here's the steps I took:

1. Open Device Manager
2. Right click on your "unknown" Android device and click properties. (My tablet was called "Android Eclaire")
3. Click on the details tab then select Hardware Ids in the drop down box.
4. Open android_winusb.inf in notepad and scroll down to the [Google.NTamd64] section.
5. Look for this section :

%SingleAdbInterface%        = USB_Install, USB\VID_18D1&PID_0D02
%CompositeAdbInterface%     = USB_Install, USB\VID_18D1&PID_0D02&MI_01

6. Change these two lines to reflect your PID and VID listed in the Hardware Ids box that you should still have open somewhere in the background, then save and close android_winusb.inf
7. Now install the driver as normal

step 6 is the most important bit - i bet you have but the PID for Your scroll in wrong there.
