What is a Custom Update.zip
Update.zip files are custom updates released by the community. They can be anything from installing 1 new apk to installing a new version of Android entirely.

Required Files
An Update.zip from this forum

Suggest Files
A Scroll with ClockworkMod Installed

With CockworkMod Recovery
Copy your update.zip file onto the root of your SD card.
Reboot your Scroll into ClockworkMod Recovery Mode (Turn off the tablet then turn it back on while holding the volume up key to boot into recovery mode)
Perform a Nandroid backup just in case! - Select the backup/Recovery menu option then backup
Back at the main menu select the option "apply sdcard:update.zip"
Select Yes. (not No No No No No No or No)
The scroll will then flash the update.zip file.
Reboot your Scroll and see the changes!

With Stock Recovery
Copy your update.zip file onto the root of your SD card.
Reboot your Scroll into Recovery Mode (Turn off the tablet then turn it back on while holding the volume up key to boot into recovery mode)
You do not have the option of making a backup - this is why ClockworkMod is suggested!
Back at the main menu select the option "apply sdcard:update.zip"
The scroll will then flash the update.zip file.
Reboot your Scroll and see the changes!
