@Warpedflash

Regarding this install-recovery.sh file....

I backed up mine then deleted it, and could then install clockwork mod. My question is, if I were to replace this file in its original location, would the original recovery be reinstalled over clockworkmod? Or would this not work as the recovery image has been over-written?
Dave

Employees are like mules. Some you stand in front of and coax them along with a carrot. Some you stand behind and kick them in the arse. The key to management is knowing which mules are which!

Yes it would replace recovery... thats its job?
You could edit teh file to flash clockwork everytime if you felt like it but kinda pointless

Hi I'm not sure what I've done wrong. I have a rooted scroll trying to do this clockworkmod. I gone as far as rebooting int clockwork mod recovery v2.5.1.3 black screen with green lettering. The instruction says:

Easy Mode
Download and extract the above files.
Copy the "recovery-clockwork-scroll.img" file onto the root of your sd card. This file is found in the recovery folder of the zip file.
If you rooted Following my guide you should have Android Terminal Emulator installed
Open Terminal Emulator and then run the following commands in order.
"su"
"flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery-clockwork-scroll.img"
Turn off your Scroll and then reboot into recovery as explained below. you should now be in ClockworkMod Recovery! Check for the Nandroid option! Please make a backup!

I do not have the nandroid option.

I have:

reboot system now
apply sdcard:update.zip
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
install zip from sdcard
backup and restore
mounts and storage
advanced.

what shall i choose?.... i'm very new to this!

thanks in advance.

Hi
like the poster above, I've got my scroll rooted, and clockworkmod installed.
I can get to the recovery screen- "ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.1.3"
choosing the "backup and restore" option gets me to
"backup
restore
advanced restore"
choosing "backup" I get:

"E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (or dev/block/mmcblk0)
(No such file or directory)
Can't mount /sdcard"

I do have a SD card in the slot! and I've checked with ES file manager that the file and directory do exist.
Any clues please?

in the "mounts and storage" option check that sdcard is mounted. if not mount it (or if its the other way do that same but backwards)

Thanks WF, but I get the exact same error message when I try "mounts and storage">"mount /sdcard"
up pops-

"E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (or dev/block/mmcblk0)
(No such file or directory)
Can't mount /sdcard"
