I dont think there is any bluetooth hardware inside the scroll

The android OS just has all the system files still intact that a phone would have running, and the phone would have the bluetooth hardware.

Just like the 3 radio files, phone, mms and telephony that are running by default eating the battery, even though there is no hardware inside to make calls

No, there's no hardware... The bluez kernel is in the android build... no hardware in the tablet so the bluez enabled option is set to false.. so even if you introduce bt hardware it still won't be seen/used

There is no way they could get my location from any sort of wireless snooping.

why not? they drive past your house in a street view van, they note down which wireless router it is and where it is. when you go on google maps they look up which wireless router it is, and they know that a street view van said it was at your house, so they now know that you are at your house. so long as you had the router switched on when the van drove past...
