Warpedflash's Custom Update.zip v1

WarpedFlash, adb logcat is fine - I was just running this while starting Android Terminal Emulator to see if it gave any useful info when it crashed.

I tried installing it directly from the apk - it asked me if I wanted to uninstall (presumably as I have got it already installed when running update.zip. I tried to uninstall and it gave an error, saying 'Uninstall not successful'.

Gonna remove it / rename it via adb shell, reboot and try the install from apk again.

Ok, did that, reinstalled Android Terminal Emulator from the apk, and it opens fine.

hmm these versions of the firmwares are so broken up :S
Glad you have a working logcat lol I will have a look at the term.apk issue in the next day or two as its hardly a major problem.

UPDATE: Ok, this is odd.....

After applying the update tapatalk pro no longer connects, and netquin av wont update. Restored a backup and they work fine. The only other thing I did was to uninstall the phone apk's from the apps menu after applying the update. Should i have left them there?

ANOTHER UPDATE: Im going to leave it rooted but restore the backup, no matter what I do tapatalk wont behave, damn!

You should be able to remove teh phone apk files from the menu.

The problem with the process of removing the phone related files is it can break alot I just dont know what (For example although you wont realise it whenever home is pressed without these files an error is thrown) The mod may not be for everyone and I know DJ_Steve is not going to use it in any of his custom roms.

Unfortunately when I try the update.zip I get the following:

---Install from sdcard---
Finding update package
Opening update package
verifying update package
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted
I previously did a factory reset as my Scroll is being non cooperative and insists on just displaying the Android logo.

Also I do not have Clockworkmod installed due to W7 64 driver problem but hopefully that should not impact the E signature verification error. Running firmware v 1.00.
