The Pigs Ear Continues

Postby Fozzer » January 24th, 2011, 11:21 am

Well things are now getting from bad to worse. Afrer my boark at uninstalling and replacing you tube. Which caused my market to stop working (good old server error ) also my google talk wouldn't load up just a quick black screen flash up.
Well I installed clockwork and installed the update zip from Warp.
Now the teminal emulator is just force closes as soon as it opens. So I can't use the clock flash script
And when I try and when I try to boot back into clock work (power and vol+) the device just goes to the standard Scroll recovery no clockwork mod options. Ahhhhhhh.......

looks like you did not flash the clockworkmod - did you have the power adapter in and power on when you ran the 2 batch files?

On a positive note - you seem to still have Tapatalk working.

go delete the file I suggest looking for in the clcokwork thread /system/etc/whateveritscalledaboutrecoveryflashing.sh
then flash clcokwork and it will work correctly.. .I wish people would read... changed my how to to refect this.

Google term.apk and copy that to /system/app (or install it whatever) the one in my update.zip might be corrupt?

@Frozzer,

It is unlikely that you will have the file install-recovery.sh in system/etc , since you have had your scroll since mid December - this file was added to some scrolls late December/early January. - Those with this file, had to remove it 1st before CWM would flash.

I had the install-recovery.sh on my .94 so it appears it can be on a wide range of units... I didn't delete it, just added .old to the end...et voila clockworkmod installed correctly :)
