Any progress reports for us?

there are a couple of "working"-ish 2.2 builds.
he is trying to get a set-up so he can build each bit manually (boot.img as well as system etc) but yea there area a few different versions each with slightly different problems atm. Some have buggered screen calibration (shocker eh?) some reboot randomly (Seemingly anyway). some just dont boot lol

Well I'm happy to help in any way... I like to think that I'm technically savvy, being a code monkey by trade and all. Happy to test, or perhaps even stare at code if that'd help? I've not developed for android before, but it's only software, how hard can it be?

Can I just say that I am very impressed with Steves 2.2 (beta) on the Scroll.

After the set up, which seemed sluggish, the overall speed of the Scroll is very noticeably faster. As I own a Desire HD and have a works iPad, it was always obvious how much slowed the CPU and screen were in the Scroll. Now, whilst not blindingly fast, sticking 2.2 on there has really made a difference and makes everything much smoother, faster, and more enjoyable.

Not had any FC's yet either!

So just want to say a huge "Thank You" to Steve and all the people in the IRC channel for getting this far, and we are not finished yet!!

As nice as the alpha/beta build is its broken in so many ways lol prgress is good though

I'm getting seriously tempted to bite the 2.2 bullet now... Am I right in thinking that the screen rotation is currently broken? So it's always the default landscape view?

Vertical view is default, but if you want to turn it around, open a video and then close it, go back to home and it will be landscape
