Keyboard - You need to use the host port! I made that mistake first time I used mine too!
1.02 doesn't have market access as part of it (the team are working on a 2.2 build with FULL market access, so watch this space!)
With the android pit files, it might simply be a case of downloading the same file 3 times, can you tell me what the file names are, that might give me a better idea if this is indeed the case.
Personally, I've been googling apps as i've needed them and then downloaded them through the browser or using the marketplace, however the following might provide you with some useful alternatives :

Has anyone else complained of connectivity issues? if so, I would suspect the router, secondly the fact that it's picking up other signals would suggest a router with either a faulty antenna connection or a faulty wireless chipset (we see a few of them come our way every few months) if this is indeed the case, the only solution would be to either RMA the router (if it's still in warranty) or purchase a replacement.
The other way to confirm would be to try the tablet on another wireless network, under similar conditions, and see if it stays connected.
Issues like this are always a simple case of logically breaking down the problem and finding a logical problem solving path, once you've erradicated all other possibilities, whatever remains, is the reason behind the issue.
