Help, can't download pictures?

Hi all, trying to download some wallpapers and it just keeps saying it's failed and that the content is not supported. The thing is the wallpapers are the ones with the little Android guy on so I don't see why they would be in a format Android doesn't recognise. Any ideas?

Have you tried a download manager? I've also read that Astro has the option to force downloads.

Hi Woody, the image on the erm image is irrespective of the format of the images... wallpapers for your scroll should be 800x480 and ideally .jpg format... throw any image you want onto your sdcard and use the gallery app when setting wallpaper to browse to your save image

I don't seem to be able to set wallpapers from the gallery either. Am I just dense or there something not going right?

on home screen, go to >settings > wallpapers

Then select the wallpaper you want to use.

Hi Guys I'm having the same problem on firmware 1.02s I can set standard or live wallpapers no problem but not normal static images, even in gallary I hit set as and it throw a "no application set to do this" error all astro can do is share the image

Any ideas?

I use astro, hold down on the image until the popup menu appears with "Set As"

Tried that in astro nothing comes up, the only option is "share"

Here is a temp fix for it after installing choose a folder (pref will 1 image in it) and then turn it off
this will set your image as the wallpaper, or it will roatate images in the folder if you leave it running
