Displaying video names

Hi all.
I have not updated my scroll or modified it so am using all the default apps.

When I choose videos, I get thumbnails of all the videos but there is no thumbnail picture on them - apart from 2.
The only way I can find out the what the other videos are is to hold the thumbnail for a second and then click on details on the screen that pops up which is a pain cause I've got lots of videos on there.

Is there anyway of having the scroll display the video filenames by default rather than showing these thumbnails?

I use mVideoPlayer

Its really good, it can split out films by folder IE tv shows , films etc. It can also download film posters as thumbnails

I've downloaded it to the tablet but can't install it. Does it matter where you copy the apk to for the appsintaller to pick it up?

The default path for the appinstaller to find apps is /nand

I always put downloaded app's on /nand - As I use my SD Card for music/photos/films etc.

Hi chipowski,
I had exactly the same problem as you. But instead of downloading another video player I am using the default one. This is all that needs doing. Make a new folder for your video and rename the folder with the title of your video and drag your video into the folder. The title will now be visible when you click on the video icon.

And I did run into problems with mvideo!
For some reason the videos would stutter every now and again or decide to randomly fast forward or shut down.
So I've gone back to the original video player.

I've found another solution - Video Player by Android Code Monkey. The app is basically just a file manager that will show the thumbnail and the filename and then launch whatever media player you choose. I tried other video players but they didn't play back as well as the default Movie Player so this is an excellent solution.
