New very frustrated user

Postby Alancee » February 18th, 2011, 6:26 pm

Just got new Scroll in past few days, am finding the USB connections very flaky (as to mounting and unmounting), not too clear on how to open files on USB connections either, mainly as used to explorer and finder options in the past.
Primarily got Scroll for a ebook reader and occasional browser, but intend watching videos now and then, have formatted films for Iphone 4 using Handbrake (M4V format), and when i have evenyually got them open on Scroll found the video size very small, and seemingly no option to change aspect ratios or making the video fullscreen.
New to android stuff, and not into programming of any sort, but hoping that some kind soul on here can point me in direction of using Scroll to its full potential for video, cheers in advance.

The USB is a pain both because of the mini-USB connection is very temperamental and because you have to mount the SDCARD every time you connect.

A great solution is Samba, which shares the /nand/ partition on your network automatically when the WiFi connects (you can set it to do so manually if you prefer). Once Samba is installed you browse to the drive just like any other system on your LAN, completely seamless.

I mapped (map network drive) mine so that it's always an option in my drive tree, but you don't have to. You can choose to browse the network if you choose.
