change brightness settings

im using kindle on my scroll however its sometimes very bright.

Is there a way to allow adjusting of brightness without having to go to the settings?

perhaps the sound volume which i do not use; map the sounds keys up and down to change the brightness instead of volume.?

Hi,
Once the App is running press the menu button on the scroll, once the menu appears, press the views options button, a slider appears at the bottom the adjust the screen brightness from there.
