WTS HTC Desire

Postby Fozzer » April 3rd, 2011, 1:34 pm

Everyone I have for sale my HTC Desire Android Phone.
Its in excellent condition with not a mark on it, ( it has been in a case and screen protector since new about 10 months ago )
I am currently using it on T-Mobile but today I placed a Tesco SIM card in it and it placed calls with no problems so I presume its SIM unlocked.

Its fully boxed and comes with all the standard accessories (the headset hasn't even been unwrapped )
It has been rooted and clockwork Mod installed so backup and custom ROM's are a ready to go.

I also have the Desire windscreen mount if wanted.

Also included is a 8GB mini SD Card.

It is for sale at work on a notice board and I will be placing it for sale on e-bay but thought I would offer it out here first as I don't want the hassle of of constantly replying to messages stating that I will not accept buy it now and post it Nigeria !. (so its first come etc etc )

I will accept paypal and it will be posted next day signed for, insured delivery, or if your close to my address can arrange cash payment.

£200.00 or very nearest offer.....

PM please if interested ....

i would be interested in the HTC Desire if it would use a o2 sim, (tesco piggy back o2) so im guessing if Tmobile works the phone is unlocked, can you scan the phone to see what networks are available? i was thinking of a wildfire for around £130 but would consider a offer for yours.
Best regards brian.

I know when you frist set it up it asks which provider you want and lists all uk ones. I have a works Orange SIM will try that later if that works it must be SIM unlocked. The box is the HTC desire with no operator branding

Also I have found a New black gel case, a New armoured clear case, and a New screen protector.

That list is only for the web/mms set up. Asking the handset to scan for networks doesnt show up any provider locks. The only way to check is insert a different sim. My suspicion is if its a contract handset it will be sim-free.

One other minor point - Tesco have their own network code - even though they piggyback off the O2 network. Bear in mind that most newer handsets are network locked fully, so for example a tesco locked handset wont accept an O2 sim or a virgin locked one wont accept tmobile. This, however, isnt the case for older handsets who diddnt have what is known as a "subset lock" :D

I take it if my works Orange SIM makes call without asking for the unlock code the device will be unlocked, I was told when I had it, that it would be a unlocked device, but I never really tried as it wasn't a issue to me....

Basically, you are right.

Did you buy it from Carphone Warehouse? most of theirs are sim-free.
