I have not tried in XP - but for the majority of people who have tried with XP, it seems not to work, possibly because of the drivers

Works on Vista and Windows 7 - Not tried on XP, so can not comment, sorry.

i did the market fix on XP i think i got the drivers from the adb, but at the same time i installed PDAnet so maybe they came from that i'm not shure

Im using the latest USB driver from the SDK will try the PDA Net route

Help I am new at this have made the emulator but cannot get cmd command to work (using win7) how do you do this please any one :?

I'm not at a Windows 7 machine but I think you just click the WIndows button and put 'cmd' in the search box.

Place a short cut on the desktop to the folder with the SDK-Tools in it and then hold shift when you right click and you will see an option for 'open command window here' - I don't use Win 7 so not sure how different it would be, but this is how it works for me on Vista.
