Just seen the new Acer iconia with Android 3 very very fast.
Would the Scroll tablet be able to take Android 3 would it be fast enough.

Welcome to the forum....
In a word, no. It gets hormonal about running 2.2 so 3 is out of the question, unless of course you change everything inside it except perhaps the battery.
Mind you... I do have a copy of Windows 3.1... I wonder...

So get rid of the scroll and go for the Acer with andriod 3
