Looks like a good thing to do Nemka, but I notice that your zip file includes a boot.img file configured with a 4k page size.

As I mentioned in another post (viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1218 - but no-one has responded  ) the Scrolls which have a 1.02s firmware seem to be using Samsung 8k paged NAND chips and so their boot/recovery images use 8k pagesize (Maybe the s in 1.02s is for Samsung?). I don't know what would happen if you loaded an image with the wrong page size, but I don't want to be the one who finds out!

What is the firmware in your Scroll?

Oops, uninformed me! I didn't realise so little of the internal memory was available for apps. I'm probably somewhere near filling it without realising.

Firmware version is 1.02, downloaded from Storage Options website. Not 1.02s
Page size is 4096 bytes as in original image.

Thanks for that Nemka.

Just out of curiosity, I'm trying to identify the NAND chip used in the 1.02 compatible Scrolls. If you have the time, could you run the command :-

dmesg | grep -C 3 PageSize

on your Scroll, after a fresh boot, and let me know the result?

On the topic of apps2SD; would it not be possible to run the entire android off the SDcard. Perhaps mount the /system/ directory on SD card (ext2?) and run the android made for another tablet (with some poking of course) - Perhaps get a full featured android made for another telechips tablet on the Scroll.

Are there any advantages with using link2sd instead?
