Repeat business is what its all about and that's what builds business empires... look at Apple!

Having only recently purchased the Excel, it might be too soon for me to buy an Extreme anyway, but I probably would have bought the tablet released after that.

However, given the level of support we've had from SO, there's no way I'm going to spend my hard earned money on another product from a box shifter that won't even provide us with a stock image of our existing software for disaster recovery. I don't buy the 'we can't be trusted with it' argument... if we use it and we brick it, it's our problem.

The Excel is my first tablet... probably the first of many, so there's plenty of opportunity for SO to get me to open my wallet over the months and years ahead, but not unless there's decent support.

The thing is, I like SO and I like Paul; and I really, really want them to be a success... though they make it hard to love them! But it's a two way street and they have to do something to keep us 'onboard'... I fear it's too late with me!

I think the foregoing comments just about say it all.
Had I not already bought my Excel this February just gone then I might have saved and waited for the Extreme, but then again, at this rate by the time I had saved enough SO would probably be box pushing yet another model.
I see on the Chinese sites that they are shipping tabets with 2160p output which is quite a laugh really because in the UK no-one is even transmitting in full 1080p yet (apart from Sky but I don't count them - greedy whats-its.)
So I suppose its down to the simple question of just how long will my Excel last and continue to do what I want from it? I suspect that by the time I find the answer to that question, bearing in mind we are about to have the budget, fuel is sky high, no-one (like most of us - at least) has got any money - we might even be saying in 12 months time, "Storage" who I hear the new apple pad is out now as well http://store.apple.com/uk/browse/home/s ... UK_iPad-UK Mind you it is still £200 more than the Extreme so who knows. I certainly don't wish any ill toward SO but if they don't get their act together with better support then the negative word will simply grow and grow.

Sorry, I can not find the link, but the response was basically "there will be no ICS update for the Excel", from SO.

I was just really annoyed with a couple of things with the Scroll Special Edition 8" Tablet" quirks, that I had hoped they would fix with the update to android 4.0. (Wireless is weak, navigation, etc.)
but I get we will not see it, I just wanted something that worked out the box.. Guess it's not going to happen.
