I have tried a new OTG USB lead & a factory reset both being unsuccessful. Hope someone is able to help with this issue as I like the tablet but feel the USB host is to important a feature to be without & I don't really want to exchange the tablet for a 4th time.
Cheers John.
I have just come across this post - my second Elite went back last week, I couldn't get it to connect to a PC or any other device on the Host USB port. If I connected it to my laptop it "killed" the laptop with an immediate power down.
I have now realised that connecting it to my desktop system had blown up the two USB ports on that so it looks like an expensive repair to get that sorted out, I'm hoping that ports aren't part of the motherboard and they can be changed.
Not a happy bunny, and I don't expect SO will pay for my repair.
I mention it here so if anyone else has the same problem with not connecting they will know to check the USB ports on their PC ! I only realised this morning I had a problem when I tried to connect a flash drive.
